About the Route: Marrakech, the Atlas and the Great Sand Seas
From Marrakech, a scenic transfer across the High Atlas brings you to Ouarzazate, where the riding begins. The route crosses the Atlas via Taznakht to Foum Zguid, enters the remote dunes of Erg Chegaga and crosses the dry bed of Lake Iriki to M’Hamid El Ghizlane.
Old Paris-Dakar pistes then lead east to Ouzina and Jdayd, and the Znigi dunes to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. The return heads west through Fzou, Tazzarine and the oasis village of N’Kob, then over mountain pistes via Tagmout to the Skoura palm oasis and Ouarzazate.

Tour Itinerary: 9-Day Morocco Enduro Motorcycle Tour – Marrakech, Sahara & Atlas
DAY 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate
Welcome to Morocco and the beginning of your 9-Day Morocco Enduro Adventure. Upon arrival at Marrakech Airport, our team welcomes you and arranges a private transfer to Ouarzazate.
The journey takes you through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, offering a first taste of Morocco’s incredible mountain landscapes. In Ouarzazate, you have time to relax, prepare your equipment and get ready for the KTM Sahara enduro adventure ahead.

DAY 2: Ouarzazate – Taznakht – Foum Zguid
Today the real Morocco enduro tour begins. After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate and ride towards Taznakht before entering remote mountain pistes across the Atlas Mountains.
The stage combines rocky tracks, technical off-road sections and spectacular mountain scenery, an ideal introduction to our Enduro School Morocco experience. Our professional guide helps you improve your riding technique as we ride to Foum Zguid, the gateway to the Sahara.

DAY 3: Foum Zguid – Erg Chegaga – Lake Iriki – M’Hamid
Today we enter the heart of the Moroccan Sahara. From Foum Zguid, we follow remote desert pistes towards the impressive Erg Chegaga dunes, where vast sandy areas offer authentic Sahara KTM riding, sand tracks and dune sections.
We continue towards Lake Iriki, one of the most fascinating landscapes of southern Morocco, before crossing remote pistes to M’Hamid El Ghizlane. A true desert enduro adventure combining technical riding, navigation and spectacular scenery.

DAY 4: M’Hamid – Ouzina – Jdayd
We leave M’Hamid and continue east through the Sahara on remote desert pistes. Today’s route towards Ouzina includes sections of the legendary Paris-Dakar pistes, where you feel the spirit of classic desert rally routes.
Far from the main roads, we cross isolated landscapes and challenging off-road terrain before reaching Jdayd: an authentic Morocco Sahara enduro experience with long desert tracks and incredible scenery.

DAY 5: Jdayd – Ouzina – Znigi – Merzouga
Today is one of the highlights of our KTM Sahara tour. We ride through the spectacular Ouzina dunes before continuing towards the impressive Znigi dunes, with terrain changing between sand, dunes and rocky desert pistes.
We then follow remote tracks towards Merzouga and the famous Erg Chebbi dunes, and spend the evening in a desert camp surrounded by the dunes.

DAY 6: Enduro Adventure Around Merzouga & Erg Chebbi
Today is dedicated entirely to Merzouga enduro riding. We explore the spectacular Erg Chebbi region, riding sandy tracks, dunes, desert pistes and remote areas around Merzouga.
With different types of terrain throughout the day, you can practise your Enduro School techniques, improve your sand-riding skills and enjoy a full day of Sahara motorcycle adventure before returning to Merzouga for the night.

DAY 7: Merzouga – Fzou – Tazzarine – N’Kob
We leave the Sahara behind and continue west through some of southern Morocco’s most beautiful landscapes, following remote desert pistes towards Fzou and then Tazzarine.
The terrain gradually changes from open desert to rocky tracks and mountain landscapes. We finish the day in N’Kob, a traditional oasis village surrounded by the Anti-Atlas Mountains.

DAY 8: N’Kob – Tagmout – Skoura – Ouarzazate
Our final major enduro stage takes us from N’Kob back towards the Atlas Mountains. We ride remote pistes towards Tagmout, crossing spectacular mountain landscapes and technical off-road tracks.
The famous Skoura palm oasis provides a beautiful contrast to the desert and rocky terrain of the previous days. From Skoura, we continue to Ouarzazate for the night.

DAY 9: Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, your 9-Day Morocco Enduro Motorcycle Tour comes to an end. We return to Marrakech by road, crossing the spectacular Atlas Mountains once again.
Depending on your flight schedule, we arrange a direct transfer to Marrakech Airport or organise your final night in Marrakech, with nine days of KTM enduro, Sahara dunes, desert pistes and legendary Dakar tracks behind you.

Best Time for This Enduro Tour in Morocco
The best season for an enduro motorcycle tour in southern Morocco is from October to April, when daytime temperatures are comfortable for riding. Spring and autumn are ideal. Winter days are sunny and mild, but desert and mountain nights can be cold, so bring a warm layer. Summer (June to August) is very hot in the Sahara and is only recommended for short early-morning rides.
Arrival and Departure in Marrakech
The tour starts and ends in Marrakech. We pick you up at Marrakech Airport on day 1 and bring you back to Marrakech on day 9, either directly to the airport or to your hotel. Marrakech has direct flights from many European cities, so it is the easiest entry point for this tour.
