About the Route: Ouarzazate, Merzouga and the Remote South
The route leaves Ouarzazate for the valleys and High Atlas landscapes around Boumalne Dades, then crosses the Saghro Mountains and the Todra area before dropping into the desert around Erfoud and Merzouga.
From the Erg Chebbi dunes, old Paris-Dakar tracks lead to Tafraoute Sidi Ali, one of the most isolated villages in southern Morocco. The return crosses mountain pistes via Fzou and Tazarine to the kasbah village of Nkob, then the Draa Valley and the palm oasis of Skoura.

Tour Itinerary: 6-Day Morocco Enduro Experience – Ouarzazate, Merzouga & Tafraoute Sidi Ali
DAY 1: Ouarzazate – Boumalne Dades
Your Morocco enduro adventure begins in Ouarzazate. After breakfast, get ready for your KTM 450 Enduro and start riding through mountain pistes, rocky off-road tracks and traditional Berber villages.
Enjoy spectacular views across the valleys and High Atlas landscapes while experiencing the authentic spirit of Enduro Experiences Morocco, then continue on remote mountain trails to Boumalne Dades.

DAY 2: Boumalne Dades – Saghro Mountains – Todra – Merzouga
Today combines mountain enduro and Sahara riding. Cross the impressive Saghro Mountains on your KTM, following remote rocky pistes and challenging off-road tracks.
Continue towards the Todra area before entering the desert landscapes around Erfoud and finally reaching Merzouga and the legendary Erg Chebbi dunes. Experience the transition from the mountains to the Moroccan Sahara on this spectacular stage.

DAY 3: Merzouga Sahara Enduro Experience
A full day dedicated to Sahara enduro around Merzouga.
Ride your KTM 450 through the Erg Chebbi dunes, sandy sections, rocky desert tracks and remote Sahara pistes. It is the perfect opportunity to experience different types of terrain while developing your sand-riding skills with your guide.

DAY 4: Merzouga – Tafraoute Sidi Ali
Leave Merzouga and head deeper into the Sahara. Follow remote desert pistes, sandy sections, rocky plateaus and legendary Paris-Dakar tracks.
Ride through some of the most isolated landscapes in southern Morocco before arriving at Tafraoute Sidi Ali. This is a true desert enduro Morocco experience, combining adventure, navigation and technical off-road riding.

DAY 5: Tafraoute Sidi Ali – Fzou – Tazarine – Nkob
Prepare for another spectacular day of Morocco enduro riding. From Tafraoute Sidi Ali, ride towards Fzou and cross remote mountain pistes before continuing through the beautiful landscapes around Tazarine, known for its prehistoric rock engravings.
The combination of rocky tracks, desert terrain and mountain trails makes this a challenging and rewarding KTM enduro adventure. Finish the day in Nkob, surrounded by the landscapes of southern Morocco.

DAY 6: Nkob – Draa Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate
The final day takes you through the Draa Valley and spectacular mountain pistes towards Skoura. Ride past palm groves, traditional Berber villages, rocky trails and breathtaking landscapes before continuing to Ouarzazate.

Best Time for This Enduro Tour in Morocco
The best season for an enduro motorcycle tour in southern Morocco is from October to April, when daytime temperatures are comfortable for riding. Spring and autumn are ideal. Winter days are sunny and mild, but desert and mountain nights can be cold, so bring a warm layer. Summer (June to August) is very hot in the Sahara and is only recommended for short early-morning rides.
How to Get to Ouarzazate
The tour starts and ends in Ouarzazate, which has its own airport with connections to Casablanca. Ouarzazate is also about a four-hour drive from Marrakech across the High Atlas. We can arrange a private transfer from Marrakech on request.
