About the Route: From Errachidia to the Erg Chebbi Dunes
Errachidia is the gateway to south-eastern Morocco and the perfect starting point for a desert enduro tour. From here the land opens into wide hamadas, rocky plateaus and palm oases that lead to Rissani, the historic caravan town at the edge of the Sahara, and finally to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes, some of them more than 150 metres high.
This is the terrain the Paris-Dakar Rally made famous: fast gravel pistes, sandy tracks, technical rocky sections and golden dunes, all within a short ride of each other.

Tour Itinerary: 3-Day Sahara Enduro Expedition – Errachidia to Merzouga
DAY 1: Errachidia – Tarda – Gara Medouar – Rissani – Merzouga
Your Moroccan enduro adventure begins in Errachidia, where you meet your guide, receive your KTM and a full safety briefing.
Leave the city behind and enter the desert through Tarda Village, following off-road pistes and remote desert tracks towards the impressive Gara Medouar, a huge horseshoe-shaped rock formation rising out of the plain.
Continue towards Rissani, the historic gateway to the Sahara, before heading deeper into the desert towards Merzouga. The terrain gradually changes as you approach the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes.
Finish the day with a memorable dune ride at sunset, surrounded by the golden Sahara.

DAY 2: Erg Chebbi Ultimate Enduro Day
This is the heart of your Sahara enduro experience. Spend the entire day riding through the spectacular landscapes around Merzouga.
Discover sand tracks, rocky pistes, fast desert sections and technical off-road terrain while exploring the hidden side of the Sahara. Ride with the Dakar Rally spirit, crossing open desert and remote tracks where navigation, riding technique and adventure come together.
Enjoy a traditional lunch during the ride before continuing your ultimate desert enduro experience, then return to Merzouga in the afternoon for a well-deserved rest.

DAY 3: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Desert Pistes – Erfoud – Errachidia

Best Time for This Enduro Tour in Morocco
The best season for an enduro motorcycle tour in southern Morocco is from October to April, when daytime temperatures are comfortable for riding. Spring and autumn are ideal. Winter days are sunny and mild, but desert and mountain nights can be cold, so bring a warm layer. Summer (June to August) is very hot in the Sahara and is only recommended for short early-morning rides.
How to Get to Errachidia
The expedition starts and ends in Errachidia, which has its own airport (Moulay Ali Cherif) with connections to Casablanca. You can also reach Errachidia by bus or private transfer from Fes, Marrakech or Ouarzazate. Contact us and we will help you plan your arrival.
