About the Route: From the Atlas to Erg Chegaga and Erg Chebbi
The route leaves Ouarzazate for Taznakht and the Atlas Mountains, then drops to Foum Zguid, the gateway to the Sahara. From there, remote pistes lead into Erg Chegaga, the largest and wildest dune field in Morocco, and across the vast dry bed of Lake Iriki to M’Hamid El Ghizlane.
Heading east, the old Paris-Dakar pistes cross isolated desert and mountain terrain to Tafraoute Sidi Ali, Ouzina and Jdaid, before the Znigi dunes lead to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. The last stages head west through Fzou, Tazzarine and N’Kob to the Skoura palm oasis.

Tour Itinerary: 7-Day Morocco Enduro Adventure – Erg Chegaga, Dakar Pistes & Merzouga
DAY 1: Airport Transfer – Ouarzazate
Welcome to Morocco and the beginning of your 7-Day Morocco Enduro Adventure. Upon arrival at the airport, our team provides a private transfer to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Moroccan desert and the Atlas Mountains.
After check-in, you receive a welcome briefing, followed by motorcycle preparation, equipment checks and an introduction to the adventure ahead. Take some time to relax and prepare for your Morocco enduro tour.

DAY 2: Ouarzazate – Taznakht – Atlas Mountains – Foum Zguid
Your KTM Sahara adventure begins today. After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate and head towards Taznakht, following remote off-road pistes through spectacular landscapes.
We cross the Atlas Mountains on varied terrain, with technical sections, rocky tracks and open mountain trails. This is a perfect introduction to our Enduro School Morocco approach, where riders develop their off-road skills while enjoying an authentic Morocco motorcycle tour. We continue to Foum Zguid for the night.

DAY 3: Foum Zguid – Erg Chegaga – Lake Iriki – M’Hamid
Today takes us deep into the heart of the Sahara. From Foum Zguid, we ride remote desert pistes towards the spectacular Erg Chegaga dunes. Expect exciting sand riding, dune sections and wide-open desert terrain.
We continue towards Lake Iriki, a vast dry lake, in a true Sahara KTM enduro experience combining adventure, navigation and challenging desert riding, before following remote tracks to M’Hamid El Ghizlane.

DAY 4: M’Hamid – Dakar Pistes – Tafraoute Sidi Ali – Ouzina – Jdaid
Get ready for one of the most legendary stages of the tour. Today we follow remote Paris-Dakar pistes in Morocco, crossing some of the most isolated landscapes in the desert.
The route combines mountain and desert tracks, rocky terrain and fast open pistes as we ride towards Tafraoute Sidi Ali, then through remote desert landscapes towards Ouzina and Jdaid. A genuine desert enduro adventure for riders looking for challenging terrain.
Overnight: Jdaid
DAY 5: Jdaid – Ouzina Dunes – Znigi Dunes – Merzouga
Today is all about Sahara enduro and dune riding. Leaving Jdaid, we head to the spectacular Ouzina dunes, where the terrain becomes increasingly sandy and technical.
We continue through the Znigi dunes and follow remote desert pistes towards Merzouga. The final destination is the famous Erg Chebbi, one of Morocco’s most iconic Sahara landscapes, after an incredible KTM 450 day of sand, dunes and rocky pistes.

DAY 6: Merzouga – Fzou – Tazzarine – N’Kob
After experiencing the Sahara around Merzouga, we begin our journey west towards the Atlas Mountains. We start with a morning Merzouga enduro ride before following remote desert pistes towards Fzou and Tazzarine.
The terrain gradually changes from sandy desert to rocky tracks and mountain landscapes. We finish the day in N’Kob, surrounded by the landscapes of southern Morocco.

DAY 7: N’Kob – Atlas Mountains – Skoura – Marrakech
Our final Morocco enduro stage takes us through the Atlas Mountains towards the beautiful Skoura palm oasis, riding remote mountain pistes, technical tracks and spectacular off-road trails.
After completing the final riding stage of this 7-Day KTM Sahara Adventure, we transfer from Skoura to Marrakech. Depending on your flight schedule, you can spend the night in Marrakech or continue directly to Marrakech Airport.

Best Time for This Enduro Tour in Morocco
The best season for an enduro motorcycle tour in southern Morocco is from October to April, when daytime temperatures are comfortable for riding. Spring and autumn are ideal. Winter days are sunny and mild, but desert and mountain nights can be cold, so bring a warm layer. Summer (June to August) is very hot in the Sahara and is only recommended for short early-morning rides.
Arrival and Departure
This tour includes a private airport transfer to Ouarzazate on day 1 and a transfer from Skoura to Marrakech on day 7, so you can fly in and out easily. Marrakech Airport has direct flights from many European cities. Tell us your flight times and we will plan your transfers.
